Specifications & FAQs ↗Doug Moto technologies
A bit of get-up-and-go. A lot of say in how it feels.
We’re developing the motor, inverter and controls together at the rear wheel, with rider modes and adjustable regeneration to help you shape the ride.
The motor sits in the rear wheel. Its electronics and software are being developed alongside it, so the whole drive can work together.
Store the energy. Help hold the bike together. Our battery enclosure is designed to become part of the motorcycle’s structure.
We’re developing boost charging within the drive electronics to help get you back on the road sooner. Stretch your legs; plan the next bit.
Rider assistance & safety
Traffic, junctions, another bend ahead. We’re bringing the assistance systems together to help you keep track of the ride.
Radar and camera views to help you keep track of what’s around you, with adaptive cruise planned for the longer stretches.
Rider modes and adjustable regeneration to shape the response, backed by planned cornering ABS, traction and wheelie management.
We’re working on cornering lighting and clear rider information, with the useful details where you can see them.
These systems still need testing and approval. They support an attentive rider; you stay responsible for the ride.
The little things. The long days.
Warm hands. A happy pillion. Your maps and music close to hand. We’re putting the everyday essentials into the plan from the start.
A global invitation

A Douglas detour
Douglas began selling motorcycles in 1907 in Kingswood, Bristol. By 1923, Freddie Dixon and Walter Denny were winning the first Sidecar TT on a Douglas with a sidecar that could lean into the bends.
Denny worked a lever to make the outfit bank. A fairly hands-on way to enjoy the races.
We have a soft spot for that kind of ingenuity. Doug Moto is a separate, independent business, unaffiliated with the original Douglas company.
